On July 30, a tragic accident occurred at an amusement park in Taif, Saudi Arabia. A large pendulum ride suddenly fractured mid-air, sending riders crashing down from a significant height. The incident left 23 people injured, including children, and at least 3 in serious condition. While the cause is still under investigation, it raises a larger question that affects the entire amusement equipment industry:
