Dream Garden Releases 2025 Study Ranking the Best U.S. Cities for Playground Access

Wenzhou, China – 24th,10- 2025 — Dream Garden Amusement Equipment Co., Ltd., a leading global indoor playground manufacturer also known as Toymaker in China, has released its 2025 “Playground Access Index”, ranking 99 U.S. cities by how easily families can access play spaces for their children.

The study, which analyzed data from the Trust for Public Land and the National Recreation and Park Association, measures both the number of playgrounds per 10,000 children and how many residents live within a 10-minute walk of a park.

According to the findings, Cincinnati, Las Vegas, and Madison lead the nation in playground accessibility. Cincinnati tops the list with nearly 48 playgrounds per 10,000 children and walkable park access for more than 90% of residents. Las Vegas boasts the highest playground density nationwide (56 per 10,000 children), while Madison excels in walkability, with 98% of residents living near a park.

Highlights from the 2025 Ranking

• Top 3 Cities: Cincinnati, OH; Las Vegas, NV; Madison, WI

• Top 10 Cities: Include Irvine, San Francisco, Sacramento, Minneapolis, Boston, Chicago, and Pittsburgh

• Strong Performers: West Coast and Midwest cities demonstrate the highest levels of playground accessibility

• Challenges: Large metropolitan areas such as Los Angeles, Houston, and Charlotte struggle to provide accessible play spaces due to urban sprawl

Why Playground Access Matters

“Cities that make it easy for kids to be active year-round—whether outdoors in local parks or indoors at play centers—are giving them a real head start,” said Stefan Zhang, CEO and Founder of Dream Garden Amusement Equipment.
“The CDC recommends at least one hour of movement per day for children, but many kids fall short when weather or schedules limit outdoor play. Providing both outdoor and indoor playground options turns physical activity into a daily habit, not just an occasional event.”
