According to UNICEF and the United Nations, the ongoing conflict in Palestine has resulted in unprecedented child casualties, leaving behind trauma, hunger, and shattered families.

Gaza Strip

• Over 20,000 children killed since October 2023, nearly 40% of all reported deaths.

• 34,000+ children injured, many requiring life-long medical care or amputations.

• 1 million children displaced, with at least 19,000 left orphaned or without guardians.

West Bank & East Jerusalem

• Over 200 children killed since October 2023, marking one of the deadliest periods in recent decades.

• Hundreds injured, many from live ammunition and violent clashes.

Humanitarian Impact

• Hunger & Malnutrition: More than 28,000 cases of acute child malnutrition were reported by mid-2025.

• Education Crisis: Schools destroyed or closed, leaving over 1 million children without formal education.

• Mental Health: Experts warn that children face long-term trauma, including PTSD, depression, and fear that may shape their entire lives.

Why This Matters
